Head of Sales
About the Role
The Mobility Operations team is responsible for bringing Uber's vision to life in Japan. They are responsible for strategy creation, and execution for our Driver and Rider focused activities. Operations are all about running our business with executional excellence and helping our driver-partners and riders get the most out of the Uber platform.We seek an experienced Senior Sales Lead to holistically own strategic projects to grow taxi fleets partnerships and vehicle supply on our platform. This person will lead taxi partner strategy planning to create momentum and accelerate growth. This role will involve substantial cross-functional collaboration across marketing, customer support, business development, finance, tax, legal, policy, and communications to move forward with our strategies. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding sales manager with intimate product understanding who can coordinate across all these groups to deliver a successful driver and product strategy and execution plan. The candidate also possesses a sharp strategic mind and is passionate about teamwork. Examples of areas you will be working on are building relationships with the senior leadership of taxi companies, boosting our fleet and driver acquisition, engagement and retention efforts, tailoring our value proposition to driver needs, and deciding on a new products launch approach and timeline.
Your Impact in Role
- Lead sales managers in building relationships with potential taxi company partners
- Collaborate with senior taxi leadership to expand fleet supply and driver engagement
- Implement a streamlined sales process across the team
- Develop and execute a sales growth strategy for Japan
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team
What You Will Need
- Experience in B2B sales strategy development
- Extensive experience in sales, with a focus on traditional Japanese industries preferred
- Proven success in building high-performing sales teams
- Strong ability to manage the entire sales pipeline in collaboration with sales or revenue operations teams
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English
- Experience in operations, analytics, and data-driven CRM programs is highly valued.
