You will lead and empower a team of high-performing Operations Managers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on proactively monitoring and strategically responding to marketplace health across all cities.

You will be accountable for the commercial and operational success of the rider (consumer) dimension of our KSA business. By leveraging deep consumer insights and internal data, you will define and collaboratively execute impactful consumer strategies with your team, with the ultimate goal of significantly expanding our rider base and increasing their engagement with the Uber platform. This requires seamless collaboration with a broad range of Uber teams (Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Policy, Legal, Product etc.) across local, regional (MEA), and global levels, as well as with key external partners.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a primary strategic thought partner to the GM & Head of Driver, this is a high-impact leadership role within the KSA business.
What you'll do:
- Lead and empower a team of Operations Managers through mentorship, motivation, and by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-impact results across all core operational metrics.
- Oversee the development and execution of core business forecasting, reporting, and monitoring frameworks, ensuring data-driven insights inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and champion our competitive strategy, navigating a complex environment with legal and regulatory considerations to maximize positive outcomes for all key stakeholders, including drivers and riders.
- Identify and help address areas where riders, new and existing, aren't having a seamless experience taking a trip
- Closely partner with regional and global teams to identify, build and grow new and existing product offerings and use cases
- Lead the strategic management and implementation of our pricing strategy to optimize profitability while enhancing the overall experience for both drivers and riders.
- Drive the strategic expansion of Uber's presence in KSA through geographical growth, the introduction of new and relevant use cases, and the adoption of innovative products.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other functional leaders within MEA to define the overarching strategic direction for the KSA business.
- Work collaboratively in a matrixed environment with central operations, marketing, strategy, finance, and other senior leaders (regionally and at HQ) to establish clear and aligned objectives for the regional strategy.
- Lead your team in investigating, solving, and effectively remediating complex and critical business problems, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving.
- Identify, champion, and drive the execution of strategic business opportunities, leveraging the power of Uber's platform and data-driven insights.
What you'll need:
- 9 years of progressive management experience in operations management, management consulting, investment banking, or strategy roles within a large organization, or demonstrated success in scaling a startup.
- At least 3 years of experience in directly managing and developing people, preferably within a high-growth environment or a larger company with a strong entrepreneurial culture.
- A proven leader who leads by example and has a track record of empowering teams to execute effectively under pressure and within tight timelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (high EQ) with a demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships with high-level stakeholders.
- A strong data-driven decision-making approach with sound business judgment developed through deep analytical thinking.
- Exceptional complex problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to structure intricate issues around a clearly articulated strategy and ensure team alignment on desired outcomes.
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, concise, and impactful communications.
- Highly adaptable to change and capable of driving rapid and effective execution.
