About the Role

As the Edge Analytics Team Lead, you will lead a team of 8 analysts supporting Uber's Delivery Commercial Operations (DCO) across multiple lines of business (Restaurants, Retail, Ads, Direct, and Digital Sales Center). This role sits at the intersection of data and business strategy-translating insights into action for our regional and vertical teams.

You'll play a key role in enabling our "Innovate at the Edge and Scale at the Core" approach by embedding analytics into regional decision-making and ensuring consistent feedback into global analytics standards and roadmaps.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a high-performing analytics team embedded across regions and verticals, providing day-to-day management, coaching, and development.
  • Partner closely with regional DCO Edge teams (Sales Strategy, Planning, and Ops) DCO Core teams (Sales Strategy, Planning, and Ops, Centers of Excellence) and other cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Deliver actionable insights across commercial KPIs, including acquisition, onboarding, expansion, churn, and efficiency metrics.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable analytics frameworks and empower business leaders with data to drive decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Core Data governance team to align on standardized data models, dashboards, and best practices.
  • Drive analytics support for Edge pilot programs and regional initiatives, and surface scalable ideas to Core for potential global rollout.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to governance standards in collaboration with the Governance and Compliance teams.
  • Represent Edge Analytics in regional operating cadences and strategic planning sessions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, business intelligence, or related fields, with at least 2 years managing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of building analytics roadmap, delivering insights and innovation that drive business outcomes.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis, SQL, Python/R, data visualization, machine learning, and translating complex data into actionable business insights using modern analytics and cloud tools
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with global and regional teams.
  • Excellent story telling skills with data
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketplaces or commercial operations is a plus.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$186,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$186,000 per year - USD$207,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$186,000 per year - USD$207,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$186,000 per year.
