About the role

As part of the Strategic Finance team, you will play a key leadership role in scaling the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities specifically for Brazil Mobility and across Latin America FP&A. You will empower decision-makers across our different businesses and functions within this critical region, with strong visibility into the organization. You'll contribute to high-impact strategic and operational initiatives, using data and insight to drive real-time decisions that help Uber grow, scale, and become more profitable-while creating more opportunities for platform users across LatAm. This role requires a broader perspective and puts strong emphasis on strategic thinking, people leadership, and cross-functional influence.

What you'll do

  • Financial and operational planning: Be the primary finance point of contact for Brazil and act as the gatekeeper of LatAm's financials, consolidating the four regions and centralizing processes to enable more efficient operations
  • Business partnership: Work closely with leadership across Brazil Mobility and LatAm, applying financial insights and business judgment to guide decisions on new initiatives, capital allocation, and efficiency strategies
  • Strategic analysis and execution: Deliver strategic analyses to inform decisions on marketplace dynamics, promotions, and pricing. Partner with the team to execute projects and operationalize insights to achieve business targets
  • Sophisticated financial modeling and variance analysis: Build and improve models from scratch, deconstruct complex problems, and run monthly variance analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions
  • Collaboration with accounting and central teams: Ensure alignment between financials, strategy, and execution by working with accounting and other central functions to refine reporting processes and understanding of actuals
  • Process improvement and scale: Support Uber's growth by helping evolve the organization's financial processes and tools, improving scalability and decision-making
  • Ad hoc analysis and change leadership: Conduct ad hoc deep-dives to surface cost or growth opportunities and act as a change agent who proactively influences direction, priorities, and adoption across teams

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or another quantitative field
  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, and/or Consulting, ideally in high-growth or large organizations
  • Advanced Excel and deck-building skills; familiarity with Google Sheets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (essential for this Brazil-focused role)

  • Trusted advisor and influencer: Comfort interacting with senior leadership and driving consensus across functions, including proactive conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Operational excellence: Proven track record managing complex initiatives, orchestrating cross-functional resources, and optimizing organizational efficiency
  • Industry experience in technology companies
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a high attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize in ambiguous, high-growth settings
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative, low-ego approach
  • Basic understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, or statistical tools
