About the Role

As the EMEA Integration Partnerships Program Lead, you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and operational performance management of third party platforms that we partner with via our Uber Delivery order ingestion API (Application Programming Interface).

Leading a team of Partner Success Managers and Operators, you will focus on ensuring that each platform adheres to high integration standards and achieves business goals focused on the growth and adoption of Uber Eats and Uber Direct. This involves collaborating cross-functionally on commercial negotiations, relationship management, and technical account management. You will need to create new structures and standards around how we manage API-integrated partners and work closely with Business Development and Tech teams to develop the next generation of API tools.

What you'll do

  • Develop and own the strategy for our current and future API integrations, keeping our Global vision in mind but adapting it to EMEA's regional nuances
  • Operationalize the strategy and set up a robust regional governance across EMEA's 14 markets and different lines of business (Restaurant, Grocery, Retail) and product offerings (Marketplace and Direct)
  • Set up and lead a team of operators and partner success managers technical account managers (2 independent contributors to start)
  • Be a subject matter expert in Uber's integration products across Direct and Marketplace and our merchant types (Restaurants, Grocery and Retail) - fully understand systems in their domain end to end and independently identify technical issues, recommend appropriate alternatives within the context of the customer's IT service when necessary, and act as the point of escalation for the team of Partner Success Managers and our tech teams
  • Provide the business strategy for negotiations with strategic platforms to optimize capital allocation and business outcomes, including share of orders and growth of Uber Eats
  • Dramatically improve consumer outcomes (order accuracy, completion rate, on-time rate) by evaluating the performance of integrated partners and establishing a strategic plan to address sub-optimal integrations
  • Work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders, including Business Development, Merchant Product, and Partner Engineering
  • Apply business and technical judgment and leadership to translate technical issues into a course of action based on priority and impact

What you'll need

  • 8+ years of work experience in strategic or operations roles, or leading partner technology integrations
  • 4+ years of team management with customer-facing experience
  • Bachelor degree, Masters/MBA preferred
  • You're a self-starter and take initiative to seize opportunities: This space is evolving every day and requires highly motivated individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment, have high adaptability to change and the ability to execute quickly (pivoting from long-term thinking to immediate action tactical responses)

  • Demonstrated project and program management skills - able to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously and move them forward according to project timelines

  • Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence and vision-setting
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills built from experience of navigating a global matrix org and building deep, trust-based relationships with a diverse stakeholder set including senior leadership in a constantly changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Expert in technical concepts and solutions such as APIs, middleware, or SDKs
  • Experience working with Tech teams (Product, Engineering)
