About the Role
As the Consumer Growth Lead for CASA (Central and South America), you will have the unique opportunity to directly impact and shape the future of Uber Eats in the region. You will be responsible for defining and executing the consumer growth strategy for Retail, with the ultimate goal of driving sustainable growth through user acquisition, retention, and engagement.
This is a leadership role where you will manage the local consumer growth team, guiding them to drive analytical efforts to define and implement growth strategies, effectively allocate and track promotional spend, optimize our communications plan, and run experiments to improve user behavior. This role requires a combination of sharp analytics, strategic thinking, and strong team and stakeholder management skills. You will work closely with Merchandising, Pricing, Commercial, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our growth initiatives are aligned with the overall business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Consumer Growth Managers and Coordinators, fostering their professional development and ensuring they have the resources and support needed to achieve their and the team's goals.
- Growth Strategy: Develop and own a full roadmap of initiatives to increase acquisition, engagement, and loyalty for CASA Retail in Uber Eats.
- Analytical Insights: Lead analytical efforts to uncover key user behavior insights that will inform and improve our growth strategy. Develop and scale more complex and time-intensive analytical, experimentation, and improvement efforts to drive consumer growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including global Growth Ops, Product, and local teams, to ensure alignment and the successful execution of growth initiatives.
- Culture of Experimentation: Cultivate a culture of experimentation within the team by identifying, designing, and implementing tests to drive improvements based on user behavior.
- Promotional Optimization: Oversee the efficient allocation and tracking of promotional budgets to maximize customer growth and efficiency.
- User Communications: Partner with Commercial and Merchandising teams to create and execute an optimal communications plan that enhances the perception of affordability among our users.

What You'll Need
- Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Growth, Operations, Strategy, Finance, Consulting, Business Operations, or a related field.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage partners across all levels of the organization. Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business drivers (P&L, competition, user behavior, operational performance).
- Problem Solving: A hands-on, owner mentality with a proven ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems. Results-oriented, accountable, and able to prioritize effectively based on sound criteria.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Critical thinking and analytical rigor. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and make decisions with good judgment in ambiguous circumstances.
- Technical Skills: Strong data analysis skills and business acumen are essential; Comfortable working with SQL is required.
- Languages: Professional proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
