Group Details
We are looking for a high-performing Finance Transformation Specialist to lead the digitisation of legacy contracts and the data conversion workstream as part of a complex billing system implementation. The ideal candidate will not only bring strong accounting, billing systems, and project leadership skills, but will also be someone who consistently goes above and beyond, takes ownership, and drives outcomes with minimal oversight. You will lead a small team, troubleshoot challenging data issues, and ensure a seamless reconciliation between the legacy and new system.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the data conversion team, overseeing work allocation, progress tracking, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Own the end-to-end digitisation of legacy paper-based contracts into structured digital records in the new system.
- Interpret complex commercial agreements and configure product catalog mappings and billing structures accordingly.
- Lead reconciliation efforts between the legacy billing system and Zuora, ensuring alignment of billing amounts, fee schedules, and revenue accounting.
- Design and manage mock migrations, data validations, and test cycles (e.g., UAT, cutover dry runs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, mapping issues, and logic gaps in coordination with finance, legal, and technology stakeholders.
- Create and maintain robust documentation of conversion logic, reconciliation steps, and transformation decisions for audit and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in go-live cutover activities and support post-implementation data integrity reviews.
Qualifications
- Experience leading or coordinating teams in finance system implementations or complex projects.
- Proven accounting experience, with working knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), billing schedules, and contract structuring.
- Track record of delivering in high-pressure, complex finance transformation environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Zuora or similar cloud-based billing systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile legacy financial systems to new platforms, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL, Alteryx, or other data tools is an advantage.
- Outstanding problem-solving ability — someone who anticipates issues, finds workarounds, and goes beyond the brief to deliver complete, accurate solutions.
- Excellent documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
Desirable:
- Accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) or legal contract experience.
- Prior involvement in contract digitisation or billing configuration.
