E-commerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Regulatory Engagement manager to join our team at TikTok Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key regulators in the United States. You will play a crucial role in shaping TikTok Shop's approach to regulator engagement, moving towards a proactive stance rather than reactive responses to enforcement actions.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement ongoing regulator education program.
- Focus on critical topics such as product safety and compliance.
- Empower regulators to engage proactively for consumer protection.
- Collaborate on special projects with regulatory agencies.
- Encourage participation in regulatory programs like Consumer Product Safety Commission's fast-track recall.
- Lead efforts to showcase TikTok Shop's regulatory excellence.
- Implement special safety programs and incentives for sellers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Business Administration).
- 5 years of experience in regulatory engagement, preferably within the e-commerce or marketplace industry.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards, particularly in areas related to product safety and consumer protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
