About the Team
The Strategic Readiness team is a global team responsible for ensuring that our commerce business can meet ambitious growth targets without exposing itself to unjustifiable risk, and can control risk efficiently and effectively. We apply a data-driven approach to tracking risk exposure, advising the business on its risk profile and implementing and optimizing the systems and processes used to control risk.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of formal and informal institutions and networks that make, enforce and influence commerce law, regulation and policy in Italy;
- Develop and execute on a strategy to assure that TikTok Commerce has visibility of and a plan for responding to existing and newly arising laws, regulations and policies in Italy;
- Collaborate closely with legal, public policy and public relations specialists and with product and operations teams to ensure a co-ordinated approach;
- Build internal and external risk detection and rapid response systems from zero to one.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient level speaker of Italian for the Italian Market;
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required;
- Proven understanding of regulatory landscapes and legislative mechanisms, with solid experience in public policy-related fields;
- Deep understanding of regulatory and media sentiment about commerce;
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure and ambiguity, with self-starting and motivated attitudes in a fast-paced environment.
Prefer Qualifications:
- Experience in Italy in strategic readiness, trade, competition or public policy;
- Experience in consulting or professional services;
- Experience in Commerce, Logistics or Retail.
