About the team
The System Technologies and Engineering team is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer in the server domain to support the daily operation of the Data Centers. This individual will work with with a global team to ensure baseline functional requirements of BIOS/UEFI and BMC, perform daily approval of new version updates, conduct emergency accident responses in Data Centers on firmware related issues assist with troubleshooting and analysis for server issues, etc. The team's mission is to drive stability for our Data Centers servers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the baseline server standards of BIOS/UEFI and BMC meet the Data Center operational requirements;
- Performing verification and approval of BIOS/UEFI and BMC new versions from our server vendors;

- Participate in emergency responses for server firmware related incidents in the Data Centers;
- Serve as the primary escalation point for end users regarding issues within the OS, coordinating across all internal teams to ensure issue resolution is completed promptly;
- Developing familiarity with Data Centers server firmwares to improve stability to meet business goals;
- Write and maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for software applications and operating systems;
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related majors;
- Familiar with server hardware architecture, RAS, PECI, or server secure boot;
- Familiar with the principle or architecture either in BIOS/UEFI or BMC.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experiences in server firmware development or in similar fields;
- Possesses solid trouble-shooting and problem solving skills in the server hardware layer.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $355000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
