Responsibilities
PDPO (Privacy and Data Protection Office) is the organization to lead, supervise, and empower all TikTok's privacy work in an accountable way and eventually become overall industry leading. This team is the expert in the landscape of privacy risks and passionate about consulting across the company on implementing the proper safeguards and technical mitigations to ensure that our users' privacy is honored across the TikTok's products and platforms.
As PPM to TikTok product team, the ideal candidate possesses the ability to document and organize process requirements, roadmaps, deliverables, task owners and timelines in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about cross-functional project management, high level thinking and on the ground execution. This role requires the ability to work across different time zones and using analytical rigor to identify and prioritize organizational pain points. The successful candidate is intellectually curious, creative, self-resilient and comfortable operating in ambiguity with strategic thinking.

Key responsibilities
1. Manage complex projects with aggressive timelines and work with internal stakeholders to establish roadmaps and communicate timelines and deliverables to internal stakeholders as needed;
2. Manage product feature launch review process in close collaboration with product managers and legal team.
3. Partner with global counterparts across product, engineers, legal and others to identify and mitigate key risks in privacy by design process.
4. Enhance TikTok privacy maturity by strengthening privacy by design and compliance review process
5. Develop a strong understanding of business and technical requirements and obligations for compliance and data protection
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. 5+ years of project management experience. Those with prior experience managing large scale global projects are preferred;
3. Experience with compliance, privacy, risk management is highly recommended.
4. Detail oriented, can navigate across multiple teams/countries/cultures;
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Capable to drive large scale compliance and privacy projects by breaking down milestones and defining action plans for various teams.
2. Solid understanding of product development process is a plus, with extensive experience of working with engineers and product teams.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $147200 - $269800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
