About the role:
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Global Communications team and provide both quantitative and qualitative research that enables us to effectively measure results across proactive PR campaigns and media cycles.

Candidates should have both the skills and enthusiasm to produce high-quality reports driven by data insights, turning numbers and trends into actionable steps and recommendations that reflect business needs in a fast-moving environment. Reporting can range from competitor analysis and crisis tracking to social listening for creative consumer campaigns. You are familiar with how Comms/PR teams operate, closely follow the news, have an analytical mindset, and can adapt quickly to evolving issues. Ideal candidates will have technical aptitude for learning new measurement tools and conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis in support of PR campaigns and media cycles.

This role is part of the Operations team within Global Brand & Comms. Your role will be critical in enabling an always-on social listening and media analysis offering to the Global Comms team, working directly with other analysts and project managers across the team.

Responsibilities:

- Produce high-quality social media listening and media analysis reports, examining notable trends, key issues, benchmarks, and areas of risk based on proactive PR campaigns and news moments.
- Analyze the traditional media and social media landscape to supply actionable insights to Global Comms team members across the world to help measure success and inform planning.
- Monitor press coverage and social media conversation for key articles/posts to flag for stakeholders.
- Update and maintain documentation on reporting processes, best practices, data archives, etc.
- Provide real-time support (social listening, coverage tracking, etc.) to the Global Comms team and other key stakeholders during rapid response news cycles.
- Proactively identify areas that merit reporting/analysis, such as competitor news cycles or emerging risks to the business.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing reporting, whether via introducing new metrics, creating visualizations, improving methodologies, and so on.
- Create templates to standardize existing reports, monitors, and team processes.
- Manage relationships with vendors and agencies to guide the deliverables and support they provide for the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience using media monitoring and social listening tools (such as Sprinklr/Brandwatch, Cision/Muck Rack, etc.), and/or creating data visualizations, data storytelling, and creating a compelling story flow.
- Understanding of: 1) the key metrics required to measure Comms/PR effectiveness as well as social media conversations; 2) boolean querying and working with unstructured data; 3) the key issues surrounding social media and tech companies
- Voracious news consumer with in-depth knowledge of the media landscape.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and handle very quick turnaround requests.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with earned media or operating in a Comms/PR capacity a plus.
- Familiarity with syndicated consumer insights data sources and reports a plus (e.g. GWI, Statista, Kantar, Morning Consult, etc.)
- Previous experience working for a global company is a plus.
