Responsibilities
The Language Management Center provides localization and translation services across ByteDance's Global Business Solutions. Our scope includes localizing content for the TikTok for Business official website, external communications, marketing solutions, sponsorship plans, training materials, and knowledge center articles.
We are looking for a Localization Project Manager to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executing localization projects, managing a diverse range of assignments, and ensuring quality and efficiency in the localization workflow.

Oversee the end-to-end localization process, from project initiation to execution and closure.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly stakeholders in Japan and APAC, ensuring smooth collaboration.
Work closely with internal requestors and external Language Service Providers (LSPs) to deliver high-quality localized content on time.
Analyze source files to anticipate challenges and implement preventive measures.
Keep track of localization project budgets to ensure efficient and effective spending.
Organize training sessions for LSPs, review feedback, and troubleshoot project-related issues.
Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements for better workflow, tool utilization, and system optimization.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least 4 years of experience in localization project management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
Proven track record of managing localization projects and working with LSPs, particularly in Japan and the APAC region.
Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with computer-aided translation (CAT) tools such as SDL Studio, XTM Cloud, or WorldServer.
Cross-functional collaboration experience with product, marketing, or engineering teams.
