The AI Data Service and Eco Operations (ADSEO) team is responsible for the operation of security model training, and iteration under TikTok and other international products, to ensure product security and create a good atmosphere for content creation and community interaction. As a Quality Assurance team Lead (Linguistics), you will be responsible for managing building and training a quality assurance team. You will manage a team of quality assurance specialists and drive continuous improvements by evaluating key project metrics. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring a strong understanding of quality assurance guidelines and standards within your team and relevant cross-functional stakeholders in the business.
Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
What will I be doing?
- Lead, manage, recruit & develop a QA team, helping them to achieve their full potential and maintain high standards & quality of work
- Coordinate and communicate closely with project key stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely RCA and action plans are completed and followed through
- Responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered within the framework of Bytedance's core values and in line with existing policies & procedures
- Actively promote and support inclusion, ensuring that individuals are supported to participate in community and work opportunities according to their interests and goals
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, utilizing clear goals and objective setting to help the team succeed
- Reasonably arrange manpower to ensure good coverage of QA tasks, and optimize the quality management process of the project
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience, advanced degree in linguistic, literature, philosophy, journalism, or political science background is preferred.
- 2+ years experience in managing large multicultural teams with diverse skills/ Team Lead/coaching/Mentoring/Training
- At least 3 years of experience working in a Content Labeling/Trust & Safety environment in Social Media
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Possesses good interpersonal skills, demonstrates good judgment, training and coaching skills
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional partners, across different countries, ideally have experience with different European markets/region
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to work with external mandarin speaking stakeholders. English proficiency is required as you will predominantly support an AI model which operates in English.
