The Music Partnerships Manager at SoundOn will play a pivotal role in overseeing and developing a roster of talented artists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in A&R and project management, helping to identify new talent and ensure smooth execution of artist projects from discovery through distribution. This role is key to helping artists maximize their success by utilizing SoundOn's powerful distribution and promotional tools within the TikTok ecosystem.

We're hiring a Label Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in acquiring and onboarding strategic label and catalog partnerships. This role requires a specialist mindset-combining deep expertise in catalog operations, deal structuring, and partner enablement with strong commercial instincts and industry relationships.

You'll be responsible for identifying high-potential opportunities, navigating complex rights and operational considerations, and ensuring long-term partner success. This is a highly cross-functional role with direct impact on how SoundOn grows and delivers value across the label ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partner Acquisition: Identify and pursue high-impact label and catalog opportunities across genres and markets
- Catalog & Operational Expertise: Lead technical onboarding and rights workflows for incoming catalogs; ensure metadata, monetization, and rights management are fully optimized
- Commercial Deal Structuring: Negotiate and close commercially sound, scalable deals in collaboration with legal, finance, and executive stakeholders
- Label Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted partner to label executives and catalog owners, maintaining a long-term view on growth and performance
- Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage internal and external data to prioritize outreach, guide decisions, and craft value-driven narratives for prospective partners
- Internal Influence & Execution: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new partnerships are well-supported, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities and goals

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, catalog operations, or label strategy
- Comfortable negotiating commercial terms and managing multi-stakeholder relationships
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record working across dealmaking, rights management, and catalog onboarding
- Deep understanding of music distribution infrastructure and rights metadata standards

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $83600 - $192533 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
