About the Team:
Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
The IP Ops Specialist role is part of the Global IP Ops team within Trust and Safety. The team covers all contact with our community and rights-holders with regard to intellectual property (IP) removal requests. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced and global, operational setting.
Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of IP removal requests efficiently and accurately;
- Handle internal impersonation, Trademark, and Copyright queries and escalations in an efficient manner;
- Review account statuses and make recommendations under the policy;
- As opportunities arise and when resources are adequate, collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of global stakeholders to participate in projects aimed at improving processes and tools that allow the team to work more efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in an IP support, IP consulting role or a similar operations setting for a minimum of 1 year, and/or a relevant (Bachelor or Master) degree in technology, policy, or law / IP law with a good understanding of basic IP concepts;
- Proficient with technology and tool usage;
- Strong communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Fast learner with an appetite for continuous learning;
- Flexible and comfortable in a very fast paced environment, willing to adjust to team's needs as needed;
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized;
- Available for regular, scheduled weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any second language skills would be highly appreciated. The position will have global coverage, so some expertise with different languages will be considered as a plus.
