The TikTok Business Risk Control Engine Team is dedicated to building an industry-leading risk control core engine system, providing intelligent risk control solutions with high scalability, high stability, and low cost for global TikTok operations. We aim to provide the best risk engine system to empower teams at TikTok to build the best risk solutions at keeping TikTok users and platform safe.
We are constructing a high-performance, highly reliable risk control engine system, covering core modules such as the rule engine, data system, and real-time/near-real-time risk control processing. Our goal is to deliver agile, efficient, and stable risk control solutions for our business. Responsibilities:
• Leading and responsible for the technical direction of the risk engine systems and continuing to innovate.
• Participate in the development of day-to-day operations and driving technical excellence of systems.
• Work with cross-functional partners to understand business requirements, provide the best technical solution for risk control.
• Partner with product leads and team to define technical roadmap and milestones and work with team to deliver the technical capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Experienced manager has a track record of leading an engineering team for large distributed systems.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Go, C/C++, Python
• Ability to think critically and formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way
• Solid communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams in a cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant majors
• Experience as engineer or engineering leader working on Risk related system (or known as Anti-abuse system, or Trust related domain)
• Experience in building risk systems that handle large traffic in risk domain, e.g. Bot/large abusive traffic detection and defense.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $224000 - $410000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
