Responsibilities
About the Team:
The Employment Tax Analyst will join a growing team of employment tax professionals within TikTok and will have responsibility for delivering some of our core employment tax reporting and compliance tasks across EMEA. The candidate will also provide advice on employment tax related matters to internal stakeholders and contribute to process improvements and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience in providing pragmatic employment tax advice as well as an ability to independently prepare compliance submissions. This would be a 12-24 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and engage in the management and monitoring of employment tax and social security risks across EMEA.

- Supervising all aspects of employment tax compliance and taking accountability for the preparation of employment tax related submissions.
- Execute specific tax related processes/activities following agreed global standard processes and governance framework and identify opportunities for standardization and simplification.
- Support to ensure that all of the employment tax compliance obligations are met, including in-house preparation and submission of returns and working in partnership with external advisors.
- Process employment tax payments within relevant statutory deadlines.
- Support in coordination with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Assist with mapping of employment tax processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform tax research and propose recommendations based on findings,
- Provide employment tax advice to all business units within the EMEA TikTok group.
- Support on payroll tax and social security audits.
- Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis.
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, ability to take initiative with a strong interest in international payroll and employment taxes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional tax qualification beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience of employment tax, either in-house or in a professional services firm.
- Ability to adapt, demonstrate flexibility to changing task priorities and work situations, and ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and comprehensive way to colleagues without a tax technical background.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to research technical queries by analyzing and interpreting tax legislation.
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, ability to take initiative with a strong interest in international payroll and employment taxes.
