About:
TikTok-Data Science-Music team is responsible for building the music ecosystem and the artist service in Tik Tok, cooperating with all key value chains in TikTok. The goal of the team is to generate actionable insights from data and help the stakeholders to make the right decisions. Our main tasks include metrics defining, causal inference like experimentation methodology and causal discovery, feature/strategy evaluation, exploratory analysis and building some data products.

- Responsible for Data Analysis of Internationalization music business, helping TikTok discover songs and experience a better music ecosystem.
- Fine-tune data science agents and optimize analysis efficiency through large music models

- Analyze the factors affecting the improvement and growth of the product, the details of each business, and give a feasible overall product optimization plan in combination with the business direction.
- Collaborate with product/operation/R & D to promote the implementation of optimization plans and bring actual improvement and growth to the business.
- Responsible for the design and analysis of various A/B experiments in the business, the evaluation of product optimization effect, the analysis and evaluation of market activities, the analysis of core index anomalies, and the evaluation of the effect of the client version.
- Responsible for the design of the index system and the construction of the data system in the business, and improving the data decision-making efficiency of the business team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, econometrics, quantitative sociology or a related scientific major, with 3+ years of related work experience.
- Expertise in SQL and programming in Python or R.
- Strong analytical and causal reasoning mindset, and rigidity on statistical correctness.
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments, evaluating product optimization effects, and analyzing market activities.
- Ability to analyze factors affecting product improvement and growth, and develop feasible optimization plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of the music industry and experience with internationalization of music business.
- With hands-on experience in large language model (LLM) development and a strong research interest in advanced LLM technologies.
- Experience in designing index systems and constructing data systems to improve data decision-making efficiency.
- Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to promote and implement optimization plans that drive business growth.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion about social products and curiosity to deep dive.
Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $144000 - $329000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
