The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable. About the Role The team is looking for candidates with strong technical infrastructure backgrounds, passionate about engineering excellence, and providing effective and sustainable solutions with an eye to the future. You understand the challenges associated with deploying infrastructure at scale and have experience in designing systems and platforms that set the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost. Responsibilities
• Support the DC Operations team as a Subject Matter Expert to understand and manage design limitations and risks.
• Regularly audit, review, and collaborate with our CoLocation Partners on their maintenance program and effectiveness.
• Participate and review Data Hall Fit-Outs to confirm design specifications are being followed
• Manage and drive the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities in our data centers.
• Continually maintain positive and collaborative working relations with partner teams, vendors, teammates, and internal customers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of standard power and cooling calculations necessary to determine capacity requirements (i.e., TIA-942, ASHRAE).
• Experience with Power Redundancy and its implementation in design (i.e., 2N or N+1 Distributed Redundant).
• Understand Cooling Redundancy and how Concurrent Maintainability is implemented in design (i.e., N+1 or N+2).
• Experience in the following areas:
- Supervision of the construction team to complete Data Hall fit-out experience, including IT services Coordination, Power and Cooling Planning.
- Influence the testing and commissioning team to perform L1 to L5 commissioning tests to validate the system design intent and resolve technical problems.
• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience such as generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS, electrical sub-distribution systems, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• Diploma or Professional Certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• A high level of agility with the ability to prioritize work and stay organized in a complex, fast-paced environment with high ambiguity.
• Vendors, projects, or program engagement experience.
• Good judgment with a calculated risk approach during uncertainties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to clarity and detail.
