AVP, Institutional Marketing
The Assistant Vice President, Institutional Marketing, is a member of the Americas Client Marketing team which works to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies supporting Nuveen's institutional distribution across the U.S., Canada and Latin America. The AVP, Americas Institutional Client Marketing will demonstrate an understanding of institutional investors with a focus on the insurance segment and be able to successfully work with a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive key marketing initiatives. The Americas Institutional Client Marketing team is part of the Global Institutional Marketing team which is responsible for the global acquisition, development and retention of institutional clients. This position will report to the MD, Head of Americas Institutional Client Marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties


• Help develop and execute the go-to-market plan for the Americas insurance segment with close global coordination and collaboration to ensure a holistic marketing approach for the segment
    o Help grow brand awareness and client engagement in segment. Include A/B testing to refine approach and drive results
    o Create content based on understanding of insurance segment needs and behaviors
    o Communicate results across internal stakeholder audiences
• Collaborate with and be a strong partner to marketing partners (demand generation, brand, design, content, events, digital and product) to bring best thinking to marketing initiatives and ensure proper alignment of resources
• Manage multiple projects at once and deliver on time and on budget
• Partner with demand generation and data analytics team to analyze campaign data vs KPIs
• Partner with marketing colleagues to ensure thematic and product content is relevant and appropriate for insurance efforts

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

  • SRC Indicator: NRF

Required Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of related financial services institutional marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in marketing or related field
  • Knowledge of the insurance client segment
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think globally and execute regionally
  • Track record of executing marketing initiatives with measured results
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, deadline driven environment
  • Test and learn mindset and desire to innovate to drive results
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across a large, matrixed organization

Potential Salary: $122,500.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
