Senior Scrum Master
Commercial Engineering is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team at Thomson Reuters. The Scrum Master will be responsible for leading multiple scrum teams, facilitate and support the scrum process, and ensure that the team adheres to its principles and practices.

About the Role:
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will:

  • Be a servant-leader for multiple scrum teams and empower them by focusing on their needs foremost and building a foundation of trust.
  • Coach scrum teams to follow agile practices and self-organize, self-manage, and reach a higher level of scrum maturity.
  • Create a high performing environment by resolving conflict, removing impediments, and identifying areas of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate scrum events such as sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
  • Work cross-functionally with product owners to create and maintain the product backlogs.
  • Communicate with stakeholders the timelines, risks, and progress of the teams.
  • Be data-driven and make empirical decisions at every step.
  • Shield the team from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
  • Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges).

About You:
You're a fit for the role of Sr Scrum Master if you have:

Basic qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a Product Development and delivery organization
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile practices including the Scrum framework
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills and the ability to influence people at various levels.
  • Track record of guiding high performing scrum teams to deliver SaaS products.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in a leadership role (Scrum Master, Team Lead) with strong understanding of Scrum/Agile principles.
  • Business System domain knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and teach new concepts.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to a successful project delivery.
