Introduction: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Director of AdOps to join our dynamic team at Inventory Partnerships. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the industry, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives with great tactical planning and process. It is essential for the candidate to have familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and other business analysis tools, experience with programmatic integrations, and ad serving capabilities. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are also necessary for this role.

What we do:

AdOps is responsible for the operational success of The Trade Desk's inventory partnerships in relation to transactions on The Trade Desk Platform. AdOps collaborates with Inventory Management and Client Services to develop and maintain operational workflows and processes that benefit our buyers and sellers. The AdOps Director should be a driven self-starter and must be able to understand and communicate operational and technical concepts to buyers, sellers, and internal teams. In addition to serving as an operational expert, the AdOps Director will also help to identify new opportunities where our team can improve the overall health of our Inventory partners on the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operational efforts to ensure performance of decisioned spend and maintain overall inventory health on the platform through troubleshooting, analysis and consultation with inventory partners and internal teams
  • Analyze performance to extract insights from seller and publisher data, enhancing decision-making and optimization efforts.
  • Continuously assess and provide recommendations to our Product team on our ad operations tech stack and workflows to stay ahead of industry trends and technical advancements.
  • Manage troubleshooting and escalation process for issues causing budget under-delivery in our publisher and seller markets. • Collaborate with Inventory Management and Technical Account Management to help drive toward overall business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Act as leader and mentor across the AdOps team, helping to develop clear processes to meet our performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all aspects of operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. • 6+ years of experience in advertising operations or technology
  • Proven track record of managing projects and delivering exceptional results.
  • In-depth understanding of the programmatic advertising industry. Previous publisher side or demand side platform knowledge a plus.
  • Experience using SQL or BI software like Tableau for data analysis with a strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. • Self-starter able to identify opportunities for operational improvements, and lead a project from start to finish
  • Experience collaborating across Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Partnership Teams
  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable navigating complex technical processes and a broad range of publisher and client needs

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with other data analytics platforms.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising and digital ad platforms.
  • Proven ability to navigate and lead change in a fast-paced environment. • The ability to build excellent rapport with internal teams (Client Services, Technical Account Management, Product, Engineering, Finance)

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$123,900-$227,200 USD
