Patient Care Supervisor

The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Helena, Montana that is seeking a qualified Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) to serve as the Administrator of the Day (AOD) during their shift. PCS Supervisors help cover 24/7 coverage for night shifts and are responsible for coordinating patient flow and ensuring quality care across the hospital. They work collaboratively with the healthcare team to manage patient services, oversee staff supervision, participate in clinical assessments, facilitate hand-offs, and monitor quality improvement initiatives. In the absence of hospital administrators, the PCS has authority for administrative decisions and must notify the appropriate leadership.

Responsibilities:

- Act as AOD, overseeing patient flow and staff on duty.
- Coordinate patient services, bed management, and hospital capacity plans.
- Facilitate clinical assessments and patient hand-offs.
- Supervise hospital staff and monitor quality improvement efforts.
- Make administrative decisions in the absence of higher leadership.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates:

- Knowledge/Experience: Minimum of three years in direct patient care; supervisory or management experience preferred; one year as Charge Nurse desired.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- License/Certification: Active RN license in Montana; BLS certification required.
