On an area of almost 15,000 m² at the Langenselbold site, we produce microbiological safety cabinets, CO2 incubators, microbiological incubators, heating and drying ovens, vacuum drying ovens and high-temperature ovens. The sales and order processing departments, which operate throughout Europe, cover additional product areas, such as laboratory consumables and water treatment systems.

In addition, Langenselbold is home to the EMEA LabAutomation business, which manufactures movers, automated incubators and storage devices, control software and automated systems for a wide range of applications such as synthetic biology, analytical workflows and high-throughput applications. Langenselbold is also the global headquarters of the Cytomat product line (automated incubators).

The site currently employs more than 700 people in the areas of production, development, product management, purchasing, sales, service, project management and administration.

How will you make an impact?
As Sr. Key Account Manager Lab Automation (m/f/d), you will be part of a successful and ever-growing global organization and a team that values performance, quality and innovation. You represent our company and product range to our scientific audience and at all levels of our customer organization, explain the unique benefits of our products and solutions, and show how we can help our customers successfully achieve their goals.

What will you do?
  • Representing the Lab Automation business in all customer interactions and build strong, collaborative customer relationships
  • Implementation of our sales process from the identification of potential customers to the conclusion of the customer contract
  • Maintain partnership relationships between customers and our lab automation team to ensure a smooth process and a positive customer experience
  • Actively identifying new prospects and customers, in addition to growing business with existing customers
  • Actively working with sales management to develop service and support-related territory plans with opportunity maps, target and key customers, sales strategies, tactics, and resource requirements
  • Providing monthly sales reports and forecasts
  • Integration consultation, including analysis of application-based workflows and throughputs, design of system configurations, selection of instrument sets, and development of offerings and management of customer expectations
  • Developing and delivering high-quality technical specifications and presentations for customized solutions
  • Demonstrating our Momentum planning and workflow software in relation to customer specifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Degree in natural sciences with a technical focus and relevant professional experience or comparable qualification
  • Proven track record in selling laboratory automation, large capital goods, or related products
  • Experience in sales in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working with a CRM system (Salesforce experience is an advantage)
  • Strong customer relationship building skills as well as persistent, creative and productive sales approach
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel (30-70%) for customer visits and participation in trade fairs and customer-oriented events
  • Car driver's license required
  • Fluent in English
  • Open and constructive communication style (oral and written), including the ability to present in front of a wide audience
