Title: PPI Business System Manager

Organization: Manufacturing CHN

Location: SZ, GZ, SH or BJ

Position Summary:

The PPI Business System Manager has overall responsibility for the coaching and implementation of PPI Business System principles across the Site. This entails introduce PPI knowledge and set up PPI Business System, build PPI culture and direct application of PPI& lean tools and concepts to a variety of business work groups including operation, commercial, service, R&D and back office organization.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Work for China PPI leader to manage PPI Business System in China Manufacturing, commercial and back office functions. and successfully accomplish goals consistent with business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct the PPI Lean initiative across functions which includes driving improvement in CAS through customer delivery & improved quality, as well as cost reduction and avoidance to improve profitability
  • Assist organization leaders to challenge conventional thinking and identify improvement opportunities, establish and execute improvement strategies.
  • Responsible for developing and teaching PPI methodology, lean tools and concepts to site or organization.
  • Assists Process Owners in identifying barriers to project success and helps to drive changes when needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop PPI Roadmaps, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance.
  • Provide leadership and technical skills for PPI projects, kaizen blitzes and other PPI initiatives
  • Develop and deliver training to organization include PPI 8 step, value stream mapping, cell design, kanban, Strategy Deployment tool, poka yoke, 5S, TPM and quick changeover
  • Act as a change agent, systematically driving use of PPI thinking and application for continuous improvement and change throughout operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Job Requirements: Occasional travel is required, including international travel.

Educational Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in related field (Industrial Engineering and Management, ME, EE)
  • Knowledge about problem solving, Lean concept, Six Sigma or other process improvement techniques. Six-sigma Black Belt or/and Lean Expert is preferred.

Experience and Other Skill Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin - both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in lean tools & concepts with an emphasis on implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coach & facilitate teams
  • Demonstrated Five (5) + years lean manufacturing experience - Transactional a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution through team and in a matrix reporting environment.
  • A strong change agent and good leader in demonstrating and promoting change
  • Good project management skills.
  • Good inter-personal skills.
