The Inside Sales Representative runs a geographic region and is responsible for growing business through inside / outbound sales. This will be accomplished by seeking new sales opportunities, establishing customer solutions, and closing sales with new customers.

A Day in the Life:

  • Use outbound prospecting to develop new opportunities, conduct technical / consultative selling via phone, and close sales and achieve quotas.
  • Provide technical mentorship to customers, including guiding them through product selection and arranging / providing quotes.
  • Develop territory business plans and frequently update them according to key industries, changing markets, and customers.
  • Present benefits and solutions to customers in a way that addresses their needs. Use selling techniques to advance the sales cycle. Demonstrate points of agreement to gain consensus and dedication for moving forward.
  • Prioritize daily activities, meet goals and timelines, and apply outstanding time management skills.
  • Use Salesforce.com to accurately and effectively supervise activity, update lead, account, and opportunity information, and to manage a sales pipeline with a focus on winning business.
  • Assist in the development of standard methodologies within the lead generation sales process.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a science / technical field is strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within a related industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong telephone / email / video-conferencing communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively learn and use on-line CRM application and social media resources to grow territory.
  • Must demonstrate excellent proficiency in personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
