The Opportunity 

We are looking for an accomplished Receptionist to join our Operations team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman. 

  

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will: 

  

  • answering all incoming calls and forwarding to appropriate teams if necessary;
  • booking boardrooms;
  • checking voice mail for messages to be passed onto the appropriate departments;
  • managing emails to the shared mailboxes, following up and addressing as appropriate;
  • greeting clients/visitors;
  • maintaining the training and boardroom booking calendars;
  • liaising with IT and operations administrator for boardroom preparations;
  • liaising with onsite security to confirm and provide building and site access;
  • ensuring all checklists and reports are completed in the expected timeframes;
  • maintaining and reconciling stamp duty register;
  • supporting the mailroom team with incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries;
  • other miscellaneous tasks include assisting the operations team when required.

  

What You Bring 

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  

  • be mature, well poised and have experience in a professional environment. 
  • must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized and detailed-focused with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and a working knowledge of Mitel 5550 IP console is preferred
  • successful candidate must be willing to work shifts between 8am and 6pm and work overtime and weekends as required in support of Operations
  • successful candidate must be able to use his/her own initiative, work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
