The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished HR Coordinator to join our HR team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

 

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman HR team you will:

 

  • creating a pleasant working environment through employee relations activities, committees and communication and act as point of contact to global employees;
  • fielding issues and enquiries for the HR team;
  • processing all new starter requests in an effective and efficient manner and be aware of all MaplesFS Group recruiting initiatives;
  • coordinating the joiners, movers and leaver process;
  • coordinating relocation of overseas employees;
  • monitoring of probation meetings;
  • administer the engagement survey system;
  • administering and monitoring of absences;
  • coordinating the immigration process;
  • administering and monitoring of employee benefits and coordinating changes;
  • monitoring new hire induction programs;
  • preparation of general documentation and reports;
  • ensuring and maintaining all required data in the HRIS is accurate and entered in a timely manner;
  • monitoring timely and accurate update of personnel records (personnel details, position, salary, appraisal outcomes, leave records, training and awards);
  • assisting with the coordination of employee orientation training;
  • acting in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including complying with policies and procedures;
  • managing sensitive and confidential matters and protecting the security of information, data and files;
  • providing assistance with HR projects.

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • Being effective in planning and organising work, showing an ability to meet deadlines;
  • Up to date knowledge of Cayman immigration process and labour laws;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Managing sensitive and confidential matters and protecting the security of information;
  • Interest in global immigration requirements would be an asset;
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
