Job Description
These are seasonal, summer positions at the Department of Public Health's Tewksbury Hospital in the Recreation Therapy Department. This is a seasonal position for an anticipated duration of 90 days and primary consideration is given to eligible high school and college/university students enrolled in or interested in a related field of study.
Tewksbury Hospital under the Department of Public Health (DPH), a 370 bed Joint Commission accredited hospital, is currently hiring Seasonal Recreation Therapy Aides. The hospital provides a broad treatment of care and comfort to adults with medical and/or mental illnesses.
These positions assist Recreational Therapists in providing therapeutic treatments and recreational activities to the patient population.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st/day shift, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays off. Hourly rate is $22.33.

Qualifications

Minimum Entrance Requirements: None.
Special Requirements: Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
