PARALEGAL
HEALTH CARE & FAIR COMPETITION BUREAU
HEALTH CARE DIVISION
Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated Paralegal to join the Health Care Division within the Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau. The Health Care Division enforces consumer protection laws to protect the rights of health care consumers, partners with sister agencies and market participants to improve the affordability and accessibility of the Commonwealth's health care system, operates a public-facing helpline, and mediates consumer complaints about health care payers and providers.

Primary Duties:
• Support ongoing investigations and litigation.
• Review and analyze large sets of electronic documents.
• Analyze and respond to requests for documents.
• Assist the team in preparing for witness depositions, motions, and hearings in state court.
• Review and process consumer complaints received through the office's internal intake database, mail, email, fax, and from other divisions, government offices, or agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt.
Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions. On in-office days, employees are required to report to one of our designated office locations, either in Boston or at a regional office.
Salary: $53,762

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply complex concepts.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Analytical skills with the ability to accurately and efficiently summarize large amounts of information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the team.
• Demonstrated commitment to working in the public interest.
