Job Description

Overview:

The Coordinator for Military-Connected Students serves as the primary contact supporting the academic, personal, and professional growth of military-connected students, including veterans, active duty service members, reservists, and their families. Reporting to the Senior Director, this position oversees the operations of the Student Veteran Resource Center (SVRC) and leads the development, implementation, and assessment of targeted programs, services, and outreach strategies. The coordinator fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment, promotes holistic student wellbeing, facilitates access to federal and state educational benefits, and serves as a key liaison between the university and military-affiliated communities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Three to five years working with Military-Connected Students and/or non-traditional students, in a higher education setting
  • One to two years experience as a School Certifying Official
  • Extensive knowledge and familiarity with the military and the various services currently available to veterans and their dependents
  • experience in promoting the welfare of service members and/or dependents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with military culture, terminology, and the unique challenges faced by military-affiliated students
  • Prior military service or affiliation

Working Location

This is an on-site position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
