Retail Sales Associate (Full Time)
We're looking for enthusiastic associates to join our team at The Coca-Cola Store. We are an energized team that likes to have fun at work and meet new people from all over the world.
Our Retail Sales Associates greet and assist our guests; along with stocking, staging and transporting merchandise to the sales floor. You'll also be involved in selling Coke merchandise, so cash handling skills is a plus. A great perk as an associate will include receiving discounts on Coke merchandise. We're looking for candidates that have a passion for working in a team environment and have a thirst for assisting people while immersing them further into our brand.
Hourly Pay Rate: Starting at $13.50/hr - up to $15.90/hr
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 40 hours/week
This is a full time role working 40 hours a week. Candidates must have open availability to work including on weekends, weekdays and holidays. Shifts will vary between the hours of 6 am and midnight based on the business needs (could be as late as midnight when we host corporate events).
Position Overview:
The Retail Sales Associate will function primarily on the sales floor and cash wrap. They are responsible for revenue generation through demonstration of merchandise selling skills. The Retail Associate duties consist of greeting and assisting internal and external guests. Stocking, staging and transporting merchandise to the sales floor. Cycle counts, ticketing and maintaining visual standards on the sales floor and at the cash wrap. Cash handling will be a requirement for all associates. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other associates and productively with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and ensure a welcoming, guest-friendly environment.
- Greet guests and provide them with purchasing options based on their needs and wants, demonstrating knowledge regarding the merchandise and company.
- Participate in bi-annual inventory process.
- Maintain updated knowledge on current products, pricing, and promotions.
- Manage financial transactions and purchases accurately and efficiently using a POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Follow through on an exceptional guest experience by presenting guests with product promotions and sale opportunities as identified through engagement.
- Develop and implement cross-selling strategies for appropriate products.
- Assist guests with returns and exchanges.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- May perform other additional duties not listed.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- No experience is required.
Communication Skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management.
- Able to communicate on a two-way radio with proper etiquette.
Reasoning Ability
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands
- This position requires constant moving, talking, listening, reaching, and standing.
- Must be able to stand for at least two or more consecutive hours.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stoop, bend, crouch, stand, walk, climb, lift and use repetitive motion.
- Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Other Skills
- Must be able to function as part of a team in a high volume guest environment.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Basic math skills
- Must enjoy meeting and interacting with guests.
- Possess a thirst for learning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Possess basic high school math level skills.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively without accommodation.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
