We are currently seeking a Scientist SRA/Environmental, a role that combines scientific knowledge and regulatory expertise to influence new product innovation for our key brands. What You'll Do for Us:
- Leverage your scientific and regulatory expertise to enable business growth by addressing regulatory and policy risks.
- Act as an SRA business partner for innovation projects, representing the SRA function in charters.
- Interpret regulations and science to ensure claims are supported within governmental regulations.
- Guide the development of a risk assessment and guidance strategy for the SRA function.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure a science-based perspective.
- Stay on top of key scientific and regulatory trends that can unlock growth opportunities.
- Manage ingredient, product, packaging, claims, and communication regulatory compliance approvals.
- Translate complex regulatory, scientific, and nutritional information into simple, easy-to-understand facts.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and developments in policies, regulations, and nutrition science.
- Protect The Coca-Cola Company trade secrets.
- Actively participate in relevant industry and scientific organizations to advocate for company positions.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master's degree in food science, nutrition or equivalent required. PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years of work experience in the beverage or food industry in scientific and regulatory affairs.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and political landscape affecting food and beverages.
- Experience in international food standard setting processes.
- Understanding of the key issues and the relevant regulatory and scientific proof points to support regulatory advocacy.
- Advanced understanding of the nature, properties, effects, and detection of toxic substances in food.
- Understanding of the technological need for food additives and typical contaminants found in foods.
- Understanding of key trade associations and global regulatory policy landscape affecting the food and beverage industry.
- Availability to be in the office in person on a regular basis.
