Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly and Installation (Level 4) to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team located in Everett, WA. This is a highly collaborative ME position that supports Program Leadership, Design Engineering, and Operations throughout the design and build of the KC-46 Program.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.
  • Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
  • Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Resolves complex technical problems.
  • Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
  • Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.
  • Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
  • Documents and communicates producibility best practices.
  • Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

This position is located in Everett WA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 3+ years of experience in Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of experience in assembly and structures manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of experience with Review and approve Design Engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Planning
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers.
  • MESci experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range: $117,300 - $158,700
