The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Maintenance Engineering Team (BME) is seeking a first line manager (K Level) to lead & manage the Technology-Illustrations-Publishing-Data Delivery & Library Team of 16 personnel in support of AWACS, AEWC, Bombers, Executive Transport, International Government Head of State, International & Legacy Tankers, and Weapon Programs in Oklahoma City, OK.

Key functions / deliverables include the following:
  • Technology: Creates and maintains authoring publishing software
  • Publishing: Produces Technical Publications
  • Data Delivery: Generates digital and paper customer deliveries
  • Technical Library: Maintain & store both digital and paper books for programs
  • Technical Illustrations: Creates and updates Technical Illustrations for publishing purposes

Position Responsibilities:

Manages and integrates activities across multiple programs/platforms including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis. Establishes budgets, performance metrics and monitors adherence to program plans and schedules. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages and provides developmental opportunities for employees. Additional responsibilities are listed below, this is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of daily activities.

  • Oversees contractual deliveries for various programs
  • Oversees technical order library activity
  • Oversees core technical publication illustrations group
  • Ensures Software Governance/Compliance
  • Software development, maintenance, and support
  • Development work to include tool integration & modification
  • Project Management
  • Collaboration (team members in various US locations)
  • Customer and Program support as indicated in contractual documentation
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • Experience supporting both internal and external customers
  • Experience in a software development or IT infrastructure related field
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects or programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working with U.S. Government customers
  • 3+ years of experience with engineering leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field
  • Experience with technical publications/ IETMS

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility

Hybrid/Telecommute:

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Oklahoma City, OK.)

Summary pay range: 113,050 - 152,950
