The Opportunity

Residing within Supply Chain management the Planning & Purchasing team, has accountability for providing the development and execution of supply chain demand management, inventory management and purchasing enabling business growth and sustainability. These strategic and tactical functions are delivered through; modelling, forecasting and supply chain planning, inventory management. Additionally, we are also responsible for all purchasing activities in support of BDA programs incorporating BDA & BAH.

We are seeking two highly experienced supply chain leaders to join our Planning & Purchasing management team. The role of Capability Manager is pivotal in executing existing programs and new business campaigns including land, air, sea and space, through providing supply chain expertise, guidance and leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with your team and support them on their career journey identifying progression and development opportunities
  • Work with others to understand business needs and manage your team to meet multiple project requirements
  • Conduct strategic workforce planning including the provision of resources to meet multiple project demands
  • Enable collaboration across programs to identify and leverage commonalities, innovation and efficiencies across multiple programs
  • Drive continuous improvement by communication and deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve costs, quality, delivery, employee satisfaction, and customer satisfaction.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Purchasing and/or Inventory Management disciplines.
  • An excellent communicator who can engage and motivate diverse and geographically dispersed teams from various engineering disciplines
  • An advocate for diversity and inclusion and will be actively involved in implementing change initiatives to achieve our diversity goals
  • Personable and dedicated to support the growth, development and success of your team members
  • Experience in a Defence MRO environment advantageous.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit looking to make a difference in a rewarding sector
