787 Integrated Modular Avionics teams within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) are seeking a Mid-Level Technical Designer to join our team and make an immediate impact on urgent and long-term development, production and fleet support issues within the Puget Sound region of Washington.

Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards. Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes. Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex. Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general direction.

Position Responsibilities:

Technical Designer assists with BEDS/ENOVIA releases, CCS System certification deliverables, Boeing library releases, preparing Cert Plans and Certification documentation, tracking and data entry for DOORS, CSDT, and other engineering tools.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA (subsequent assignments could be elsewhere in the Puget Sound).

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Associates Degree or years related work experience, or equivalent combination.
  • 1+ years of Experience ENOVIA releases.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition does not exist or is unclear. Take ownership/initiative, pull teams together, establish battle rhythm and remove roadblocks.
  • 1+ years of experience in BEDS.
  • Adaptable and able to operate in a dynamic environment to meet objectives on time.
  • Good communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision.
  • Systems and/or Avionics experience.

Typical Education/Experience:
  • Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:
  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Work Shift:
  • This position is for 1st shift.
