An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing UK Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for an Onsite Supply Chain Specialist as part of the Programme Capability Enhancement Team, supporting modification and upgrades to the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter.

The Role:

This role will be responsible for onsite day-to-day support and management of a distinct area of responsibility within the Capability Enhancement team, working closely with the operational stakeholders on the site and liaising with internal and external customers of demand priority/criticality.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, adopt an agile thought process with the ability to solve complex problems alongside a number of functions to develop, form and sustain the strategic supply chain approach for Capability Enhancement Programmes.

Responsibilities:

Action and oversight of all requests for emergent demands on a daily basis using Required Delivery Dates as the mechanism to prioritise requirements. Efficiently prioritise all tasks and work queues to best support the business needs across multiple programmes.

Generate innovative supply solutions to solve day-to-day supply chain problems for all requirements that are not immediately available.

To provide the effective leadership working with key stakeholders to support contractual KPIs internal and external. Manage the development and maintenance of an appropriate set of Performance Indicators and metrics aligned with the Programme.

Utilise systems to effectively manage the repair of components assigned to the relevant parts category.

Manage the integrity of Supply Chain Systems to ensure contract scope and part information is correctly applied.

Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver effective communications to advise on key business activities.

Exercise regular oversight of the Order Review Board (ORB) to authorise orders.

Utilise Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques to investigate and identify solutions for any problems associated with the management of assets.

Exercise leadership and direction to execute Boeing best business practices to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities that contribute to efficiency savings and benefits.

Attend or host any meetings deemed necessary for the management of his/her assigned areas and attend regular Programme Capability Enhancement Team meetings.

Ability to interrogate multiple systems and compare data to draw accurate conclusions based on data reviews.

Utilise reporting to address any actions.

Execute Asset Management Best Practices during the completion of all assigned work.

Undertake any other duties assigned by Line Management.

Work Authorisation:

This position does not have sponsorship approval.

Required Qualifications:

Experience of MS Software, ERP systems

Effective interpersonal & communication skills

Previous experience of working within the MOD Supply Chain is preferred

UK MOD Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain) is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with working on one or more of the following systems,

TAV, PHL THIS, COPPR, WoW, SPO, BORIS, IQDS, MJDI.
