Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA), Customer Support Integration & Innovation, is seeking multiple (Associate, Mid-level and Senior level) In-Service Data Program Customer Engagement Focals for the team in Seal Beach, CA.

Supports systems/specialty engineers in defining requirements, developing trade studies, performing analyses, and controlling associated data and information. Gathers, tracks and analyzes reliability, maintainability and health monitoring data. Participates in failure reporting. Assesses and verifies maintainability design. Coordinates the development of certification and aviation regulatory proposals and plans and verifies compliance to requirements. Develops and supports implementation of certification processes, tools and procedures. Trains others. Works under general direction. Work with customers and suppliers regarding data availability and collection. Creates, maintains and advances customer relationships. Develops an understanding of customer's culture and business strategies.

The RDM team provides Boeing and airline partners with airplane maintenance and in-service operational data, including but not limited to Log Book, Component Removal, Schedule Interruption and Scheduled Maintenance. RDM collects this data through the management of the In Service Data Program (ISDP).The ISDP is a working together collaboration between the airlines, suppliers, and Boeing to collect and exchange electronic in-service data. RDM collects, categorizes, stores, and makes data available to facilitate the understanding of performance trends and issues regarding the airplane as a whole, or as it relates to structures, systems, and components.

Additionally, due to the cross-functional nature of the data provided by RDM, this role requires the ability to build strong relationships and integration with both internal Boeing stakeholders and airline partners (ISDP members).

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Apply Industry Spec2000 Standard knowledge to engage, assist, and support data integration effort
  • Apply airline, MRO, and supplier operation knowledge to engage, assist, and support data integration effort
  • Provide support to sustain assigned airline accounts post data integration effort
  • Resolve or facilitate resolution of data quality issues and data availability that arise with assigned airlines
  • Provide regular data feed status of assigned airlines to the Boeing leadership team and airplane programs.
  • Partners with the greater BCA and BGS organizations to effectively execute their functions and processes including but not limited to the Fleet Offices, Service Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Service, Reliability & Maintainability, Analytics, Airline Support, Design Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, and Chief Mechanic's Office
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Increase the percentage of first time data load quality into ARMS database to minimize and eliminate the time spent on rejections
  • Participate in aviation data collection industry meetings, conferences, and workshop

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Should have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • 1+ years of experience with Customer's and/or supplier datasets
  • 1+ years of Aviation experience
  • Experienced with building customer relationships

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Airplane maintenance and/or operation
  • Has knowledge of Aviation Standards , SPEC 2000 or S5000F

Typical Education/ Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experienced (Level 3):

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Senior (Level 4):

AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Relocation:

This position does offer relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range for associate level: $56,100 -$75,900

Summary pay range for mid-level: $65,450 - $88,550

Summary pay range for senior level: $78,200 - $105,800
