Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Responsible for preparing technical offer for Protection and Electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP). Supports project execution coordinating and tracking this scope on constant interface with the stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be the focal point to the Commercial Team, participate on the tendering strategy and its planning
  • Read and understand the customer requirements and define if it fits to the hydro portfolio (joint definition with Commercial Operation team)
  • Ensure the integration between all others System Integrators (generator, turbine, mBoP, etc.) coordinating the necessary interface and take agreement for delivering dates in order to achieve the target on time and with quality;
  • Perform the interfaces with turbine, generator and mBoP teams to correctly size the systems
  • Prepare the systems architecture or single line diagram
  • Prepare request for quotation to be sent to suppliers
  • Prepare main deviation list
  • Evaluate suppliers technical offer
  • Responsible to support the Commercial team in front of customer regarding technical questions/presentations
  • Support global supply chain activities for quality assurance and fulfillment across the globe;
  • Innovate on tendering process to improve delivering time, quality and accuracy;
  • Prioritize, plan and execute tasks when executing own work packages for multiple technical tendering in parallel.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Engineering
  • Proven track record in Protection Engineering or Power System Engineering roles
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese
  • Experience in Hydro Powerplant is desired
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a global matrix team environment
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver results in an uncertainty scenario
  • Experience working with suppliers, OEMs or customers
  • Knowledge in hydroelectric powerplants
  • Passion to contribute for innovative solutions, cost-out actions and process improvement
  • Decision making skills with strong customer focus
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish is a plus
