Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate Portable Tool Repair Production Coordinator to support the Portable Tool Repair (PTR) and Final Assembly Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift.

This position is on the 787 Final Assembly PTR Team. This team provides maintenance services and emergent support for various equipment and tools at BSC across all shifts. By joining this team you'll be able to join a team with a positive work culture.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Transports tools requiring repair to and from BSC building locations
  • Documents completed repairs
  • Performs visual inspections on tools using appropriate documentation.
  • Liaison between different organizations ensuring tool warranty replacements
  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials and tools as required
  • Provides tooling support to other organizations
  • Resolves basic troubleshooting with tool to produce acceptable parts and assemblies
  • Maintains tool crib inventory
  • Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Must be willing to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs on a frequent basis
  • 3+ years of experience with the set-up, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machine tools
  • 3+ years of experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • 6+ months of experience managing inventory and coordinating warranty replacements

Typical Education / Experience:

Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED) and 1 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience.

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $43,240 - $46,530
