The Boeing Global Services Government Training & Engineering organization is seeking an AH-64 Simulator Flight Instructor to conduct training operations for the Qatari Emiri Air Force in Qatar. This role will focus on providing academic and simulator instruction to QEAF AH-64 aircrew in all facets of AH-64 operations. A high level of proficiency in instructional methods, and knowledge of aircraft systems will be maintained as well as an understanding of the basic concepts of military manuals, standards, engineering data and related documentation.

This position is a Long-Term Assignment to Al-Udeid, Doha, Qatar for a minimum of 21 months. The incumbent will work at remote location in U.S. until international assignment contingencies are met. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

Position Responsibilities:

The job requires appropriate regulatory and/or customer certification and/or licensing with appropriate endorsements, compliant with local country aviation regulatory requirements

Performs and leads AH-64 simulator and ground school instruction for various types of simulator training on company platforms

Designs and develops AH-64 aircrew training material to meet company, customer and regulatory requirements

Train and evaluate IAW current FMS Aircrew Training Manual

Develops and maintains training scenarios to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements for skill, knowledge, training and authorizations are maintained to operate on multiple product platforms

Conducts training for customer pilots and ground based simulator flight instructors. Mentors trainees as necessary

Assesses trainee progress performance by conducting after-action reviews (AAR)

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • AH-64E V6 qualified Instructor

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of experience with the AH-64
  • successfully completed the United States Army AH-64E, Apache Longbow helicopter Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC) or a contractor equivalent training and qualification approved by the Government Flight Representative (GFR)
  • experience with Tactical Data Links (e.g., Link-16)

Long-term Assignment details:
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.
  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.
  • Employment is contingent on the candidate's ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is 100% onsite at Al Udeid Airbase, Qatar. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Summary pay range: $104,550 - $162,150
