Job Overview:
In this Senior Manager - Technology Enablement role, you will be a key member of the Legal Operations team in Toronto and lead a team of talented and dedicated legal technologists. The Senior Business Manager (Technology) acts as the business owner for TD Legal's technology and applications, provides strategic support and leadership with respect to Legal's tech roadmap and develops and implements configurations to assist in the delivery of efficient and scalable legal solutions across TD. This includes strategic planning, ongoing management of these platforms, partnering with the TD technology team to lead and co-ordinate upgrades/system updates, and managing the team that supports these platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Lead a group of legal technologists to support the advancement, enhancement and adoption of TD Legal's technology infrastructure.
- Works closely with Platforms and Technology to deliver best in class legal technology solutions.
- Acts as business asset owner for TD Legal's technology applications, including governance and oversight of data responsibilities relating to same
- Oversee a portfolio of "legal" software within TD Legal and ensure each software within portfolio remains aligned with TD Enterprise standards for documentation and maintenance.
- Partner closely with members of the Legal team and other cross-functional teams across TD to define business requirements.
- Identify, select, prioritize, design and implement, provide training for and drive adoption of technology and enablement solutions.
- Lead and maintain release management process for Legal software, including comms, approvals, release calendar, and ensure stakeholder engagement and approval for software changes.
- Execute and lead business acceptance testing and track approvals/sign offs before releases
- Stay abreast of legal technology in order to identify and recommend third party vendors or best practices
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in the support of end-to-end process of legal software service delivery.
- Foster an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, knowledge management, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism.
Job requirements:
What can you bring to TD:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years or more experience leading Technology projects within a corporate environment and focus on legal technology
- Strong knowledge of the legal industry, business processes and technology landscape preferred
- Experience leading Transformational Change
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex issues and problems and to develop and effectively formulate a reporting mechanism to the manager.
- Superior interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
- Flexible thinker, able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- In-depth understanding of data and information governance
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality
