Job Description:
The Head of US FCRM Training Program Development is responsible for producing the various components of the US FCRM training program, which ultimately entails producing, assigning, and tracking relevant periodic training for all United States Bank personnel with BSA/AML responsibilities. Such training content will need to be based on job-specific duties and responsibilities and address policy and regulatory requirements.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork, and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Develops and manages key components of the U.S. FCRM training program, including the design, assignment, and tracking of periodic training for all U.S. Bank personnel with BSA/AML responsibilities
- Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for mandatory attendance such as the frequency of training, timing for updating the training program and materials, the method for delivering training, procedures to ensure employee training completion is tracked and documented, procedures to ensure the effectiveness of employee training content is measured, with insights from such measures then fed back into the development of subsequent training content
- Oversees the quality and comprehensiveness of training content from the standpoint of overall user experience, general editing, copyediting standards, question setting and consistency of look-and-feel
- Designs clear reporting formats for the purposes of informing various senior-level audiences, including management, the board and regulatory agencies
- Accountable for providing functional / business-level communications to ensure messages to stakeholders and/or employees are consistent, appropriate and aligned to the Program's strategies and executive management direction
Education & Experience:
- 4-year degree required
- 10+ years related experience required. Experience in AML Compliance preferred
- Proven experience in developing and delivering on regulatory remediation deliverables in response to audit or regulatory findings
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with regulators, including participation in meetings, responses to inquiries, and providing supporting documentation
- Hands-on experience with designing, implementing, or maintaining a compliance training program
- Strong understanding of training program governance, including policy development, control frameworks, and effectiveness assessments
- SME in developing financial crimes training content, including AML, Sanctions, fraud, and related risk areas
- Superior business acumen and analytical capabilities ability to synthesize complex info, consolidate and summarize information into clear, concise analysis in support of business decisions
- Forward thinking and strategic thinking capabilities in order to support the business in executing on strategy
- Ability to impact and motivate others, including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship
- Able to manage and influence effectively within a matrix environment
- Excellent customer service orientation and a professional approach; including ability to interact with all levels across the organization
- Strong communicator, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Organizational awareness and the ability to balance the viewpoints of various stakeholders
