Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

We seek a high performing salesperson to lead TD Securities' fixed income distribution efforts with Japanese financial institutional clients including Official Institutions, Banks, Securities Houses, Asset Managers, Pension and Insurance. This individual will be responsible for formulating, implementing and owning the product and client distribution strategy.

  • Responsible for onboarding of new accounts, develop existing client relationships and provide timely market intelligence to internal stakeholders (Syndicate, Trading, etc)
  • Maximizing profitability through client knowledge and trade flow as a trusted advisor of clients
  • Focus on cross-team and cross-border selling initiatives
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and support product development activities and research initiatives
  • Develop relationships with peers in other TD locations

Job Requirements

  • Fluency in Japanese to be able to communicate with Japanese clients and discuss business
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of working in securities companies
  • Have strong relationships with Japanese financial institutional clients locally and globally
  • Strong understanding of fixed income business (both cash and derivatives)
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proficient in the full trade cycle beginning to end - pitching of trade ideas (primary and secondary), pricing, execution and settlement of trades
