The EMEA Payroll Specialist will report to and work closely with the EMEA Payroll Manager in partnership with outsourced payroll vendors; providing a dedicated payroll service across the region, including the provision of information to outsourced providers. In addition to preparing monthly payroll transactions, the EMEA Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing tax and social security liabilities payments, ensuring compliance with local reporting requirements, preparing & posting of the payroll accounting entries & reconciliation of the associated balance sheet accounts.

Role Responsibilities

As a Team member of the EMEA Payroll team, she/he will:
• Timely and accurate processing of EMEA payroll under his/her responsibility
• Liaise with external payroll vendors across EMEA
• Review and preparation of monthly payroll input submissions
• Assisting with the timely and accurate payment of net salaries, payroll taxes and related benefits
• Involvement with annual returns and other statutory filings as they relate to payroll, payroll taxes and benefits
• Preparation of monthly payroll journals including 13th or 14th month payments, vacation calculations, payments on account and severance, and be responsible for payroll balance sheet account reconciliations
• Liaise with EMEA Human Resources Ops & Total Rewards teams to obtain monthly updates to payroll in a timely manner
• Payroll Vendor Invoice management
• Responding in a timely manner to queries from the payroll vendors, as well as our internal stakeholders and employees
• Help ensure standardization globally.
• Participation in regional and global projects where required.
• Influence Payroll leadership with transformational agendas, fostering change and implementation of best practices.
• Support internal and external audits as needed and help maintain a solid control environment.
Qualifications
• +3 years international payroll experience or HR/Accounting experience gained in a multinational environment.
• Degree and/or Master's in HR / Law / Labor Relations/ Accounting.
• Substantial experience resolving complex employee relation issues.
• In depth knowledge of local laws and regulations across different EMEA countries with focus on Germany. Experience in French payroll will be an advantage.
• Experience managing Global Mobility payroll matters (shadow payroll, tax equalizations, salary cross border recharges, etc)
• Prior hands-on experience on any of general ledger, receivables, payables, inventories, fixed assets, etc., will be considered an advantage.
• Multicultural, open to deal with diverse stakeholders.
• Any offshore and/or emerging markets prior experience will be a clear advantage.
• Fluent in English. Other languages, such as German & French will be a clear advantage.
