Senior Product Manager II - Observability

Sumo Logic is seeking a product management leader who will help lead, develop, and manage the observability solution business case, product roadmap, and vision. 


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful data and integration platform technologies in on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments. They will have deep domain knowledge in open-source collection and monitoring technologies and proven working experience with AWS and similar cloud services from Google and Microsoft.

  • Identifying opportunities based on innovations, drive product development with multiple global teams

  • Develop detailed product requirements, features, integrations and use cases. Own prioritization, functional requirements

  • Developing a deep understanding of the compliance markets and industry trends and applying that understanding to a differentiated product offering

  • Working across teams in a global organization and being enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a great collaborator

  • Creating business cases to justify business investment to expand our addressable markets


  • Who You Are:



    • 3+ years experience in Product Management

    • Experience working directly with technical engineering teams and in a matrixed Product Management team environment

    • Experience with security products and expansion into regulated markets

    • An ability to navigate complex decision-making and effectively communicate across teams will be critical to success.

    • Demonstrable ability to work effectively with both, UX, Product Marketing, Technical Sales.

    • Understanding and ability to define technical specifications, write high-level documents, and interpret security and compliance requirements into concrete product requirements

    • Excellent communication and proven track record with deep customer engagements, hands-on execution and timely delivery

    • BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.  An MBA is a plus

    Sumo Logic Privacy Policy


    The expected annual base salary range for this position is $163,000 - $220,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
