Financial Risk Reporting Analyst

Who we are looking for:

An experienced professional to join the team as Assistant Vice President - Financial Risk Reporting based in the Poland. This role is part of the Global Risk Operations Group within Enterprise Risk Management's Financial Risk Organization.

The goal of ERM is to ensure that State Street's risks are proactively identified, well-understood, and prudently managed in support of our business strategy. As such, ERM provides risk oversight, support, and coordination to ensure consistent identification, measurement and management of all risks arising from the provision of products and services to our clients.

Target Individual:

  • Prior Experience in Financial Services, preferably within the context of Investment Banking and/or Financial Risk. Prior experiences in data management, reporting or controls would be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of the Information Technology / Data Management in the Financial Service Industry with working experience as a data analyst, business analyst, risk analyst or project manager.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative mindset; ability to take ownership and improve on existing risk processes.
  • Process improvement and BAU efficiency expertise
  • Proven hands-on capabilities in managing tasks independently, with a willingness and ability to engage in multiple tasks concurrently and reprioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively develop and manage relationships at all levels.
  • Past experiences in Business Intelligence/ Reporting Tools (Spotfire, Tableau / Power BI etc.) or with Business /IT controls.
  • Experience in coding such as SQL or Python a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Implementation of the Financial Risk Reporting Framework and appropriate Operating Model to support delivery Collaborate with Data Stewards and Owners to ensure appropriate quality of management information Support Data Governance requirements as Subject Matter Expert of critical data and metrics produced in key Financial Risk Reports Maintain appropriate inventories of key data for Financial Risk Reporting, and ensure all is catalogued in compliance with firm standards Support development of reporting processes and controls to ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations/requirements Facilitate partnerships across State Street functions to ensure appropriate collaboration across teams Drive enhancements of reporting processes to meet various regulatory expectations globally Partner with IT to deliver reporting architecture enhancements to drive long term priorities Participate in strategic planning to ensure team priorities are delivered Support overall Reporting coordination and governance across Financial Risk globally Drive automation solutions for implementation of governance and oversight processes over Financial Risk Reporting

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance preferred with an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering pref. in a Computer Science/ Information Mgmt. related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within large financial institutions, with background in reporting, data or operational processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with multiple deliverables.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel), Business Intelligence tools such as Spotfire or Power BI and proficiency in SQL.
