As an Instructional Designer for Staples, you will be responsible for the coordination and development of blended learning solutions designed to provide store associates with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to be successful in their jobs. With minimal supervision and support from the L&D Manager, you will create learning deliverables for our store associates. Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative training solutions that meet SCORM compliance standards and are based in sound instructional designs strategies
- Develop and create content using rapid development tools and prototyping methods
- Update/support existing curricula including paper-based, ILT, VILT, and e-learning
- Develop e-learning modules, job aids, quick reference aids, workbooks, and coaching materials
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and delivers learning solutions to the HR Ops team for LMS publishing
- Produces high quality work within short project cycles and can manage multiple projects under aggressive timelines
Knowledge / Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (graphic design preferred) or equivalent experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or related field
- 5 years producing training deliverables
- 5 years producing online training deliverables
- 3+ years Retail experience
- Expert knowledge and experience with software tools including: Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud Applications and Services (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft 365 Applications and Services
- Ability to develop animations and graphics to supplement standard e-learning design
- Experience with training evaluation tools and survey software, i.e. Microsoft Forms
- Knowledge of LMS systems
